day 3 - the castle

could not get to sleep last night. kept rolling over and waking up. its way noiser here than in jills dorm. so went to alex's room to see if she wanted to go for breakfast she didn't so i went back to bed and still could not really sleep. alex stopped by at lunch time to see if i wanted lunch and i didn't so she left and i tried to sleep. i woke up (i think) later and headed to alex's room, oh yeah incase i didn't mention i am on like the compleate oppisite side of the residence. she was still packing. then we went for dinner and then after dinner we went for a walk around the castle and took photos. since i started this journey i have already read 3 books. its fairly cold out (to me at least) and yet everyone seems to keep their windows open. have not been feeling tired so i have been reading and on the computer for a while. its now 3 in the morning so i should probeblly get to bed, but first i think i will head to the art room, everyone is putting the stuff they don't want or just do not want to take home in there so maybe i will at least find something to read tonight.

day 2- arriving
then plane arrived on time but we had to stop our landing part way in becuase another plane had not moved out of the way yet. then when we got inside you had to lower your sholder bags so the drug dogs coulld smell them. then we got into imigration but i could not find a pen so me card was not filled out yet so i had to ask and a guy showed me a little area. then when i actually made it through the line and got to a person he asked where i was staying and i didn't know the address so he hasled me about that but there was nothing i could do about it. finally made it out and got my bag from the carosel. then headed out to find alex. which did not take long, then we walked to the bus area and took a bus from the airport to victoria bus station. then had to walk from victoria bus station to victoria trainstation. we bought bagles cause alex was hungry and dinner wasn't going to be till 5. then we caught the train but we had to figure out which part was the front of the train once we got on becuase once you reach a certain stop the train splits and goes 2 seperate ways so we wanted to be in one of the front four cars. once we reached our stop we took a taxi to the castle. then alex took me on a tour of the place. she does not actually stay in the castle, the castle is the classrooms and the caf and the pub. then i was feeling tired so i tried to take a nap but it was too loud without the earplugs and i was afried i would not hear alex coming to wake me up if i kept the earplugs in. woke up, went to have dry dinner, then came back to alex's room. alex had booked the hostels becuase she thought she knew exactly where we were going but apparently the lady who booked our eurorail passes changed our plans fairly majorly so now alex is sad and calling her mom cause we don't exactly know whats going on cause some of the tickets don't make sence and now we also lost money becuase we booked the hostels.

day 1 -plane
jillybeanz and mommy and daddy dropped me off at the airport. as i was going through security the lady running it was speaking english but i still had no idea what she was saying cause it sounded so stupid. she told me to empty my pockets and put all my money in the box so then i go to put my bills in cause thats all i have and then she practically yells at me saying "what are you doing i said only put metel stuff in here nothing else" which she clearly did not. then i waited for the plane and as i was waiting i met a british indian and her daughter. the women was proeblly early 20's and the little girl was 2. they went on the plane before me bacuase of the little girl. when i finally borded i found out that i was sitting next to them. the mother had a seat and i had the seat next to her and the little girl sat on her lap. so obliously i did not get much sleep the little girl slept on both of us for most of the time. and i watched the movies they played which were dreamgirls and the red violin neither of which i would have watched if i had a choice of a different movie but i didn't.

day 24 - home
so the flight was worse back. and then when we got to toronto it took us like an hour and a half to get everyones luggage. only about 20 bags were on the carisol for like 30 min and then we found all the luggage but we still had to get cameron and tams boxes which took even longer. when we got through everything tim and tina and dave and janis were all there to pick us up. we did not get home till 11:30 pm. and then i had such bad jet lag that i did not get over it for quite a while but it is also said that for every hour time difference you need a day to recover.
